Japan - I'm Back!

Aaaand - I'm back!

As I watched my final sunset of the trip, I was left feeling quite moved. Humbled and grateful - I even shed a tear (or two) as the sun slipped away behind the mountainous skyline. Big softie.

I want to take the opportunity to say a huge thank you to two sponsors, without whom this very impromptu trip could not have been possible. Azukari Koi & Queni Koi

These two companies are both trade supporters of the magazine and were keen to see me in Japan, so they teamed up to ensure it happened. In return, I spent my first week in the company of Chris Edwards (Azukari Koi) and Adam Walker (Queni Koi), documenting their koi-hunting quest in the mountains with my trusted canon. Keep an eye on their socials to see my efforts. I then spent time alone collecting content whilst driving around in an infamous tangerine (see photo).

Transparency is paramount to our ethos at ‘World of Nishikigoi.’ Like most magazines, we accept sponsorship and advertisements to ensure financial viability, however, our impartiality is always non-negotiable, and the companies we work with understand our stance. We are grateful to all our trade sponsors/advertisers for their continued support as we strive to bring koi enthusiasts printed content to be proud of.

I look forward to sharing more of Japan whilst I complete a very exciting Volume Two - it's a comin.'

Enjoy some teaser shots...
