Avenue Fisheries - Open Day

Avenue Fisheries - Koi Blog

Happy New Year!

I hope you’ve all had a fantastic time over Christmas, celebrating however you like best. I took some time to recharge after getting the latest volume of the magazine out to subscribers. These things never last long, and my brain was soon whirring with ideas for 2024. Typical!

Winter often sees us starved of social koi events, but a handful of dealers invite customers to their premises over Christmas and New Year to check out their new koi stocks. On the 30th of December, Avenue Fisheries held one of its many open days. The company has been a loyal advertiser since day dot, and I couldn’t miss the chance to visit their retail premises and devour a sausage bap or two! I thought I’d share my outing in the form of a short video and a small collection of photos. Enjoy in 4K!

If you’d like to attend their next open day or take part in the growing-on competition, the best place to keep up to date with their shenanigans is here:

In Other News...

2024 is set to be an exciting year, and I hope to share more of my koi escapades on the blog in video and photographic format. There will be some new firsts for me this year regarding koi shows, plus I hope to keep you up-to-date with things happening in the trade from our advertisers. Keep those eyes peeled!

I've made some changes to the website because as we move into 2024, I want to bring a fresh look, but also make space for future developments. I'm really proud of what the company produces and the branding needs to reflect that as best as possible, I hope you like it.

Koi Magazine UK

Volume Four has been with our subscribers since early December, we've had some amazing feedback from hobbyists worldwide and members of the trade, and we can't wait to share it with more readers. If you're not a subscriber and would like to purchase a copy, single sales are now available here:

You may notice I've had to increase the single sale price this year, something I've been trying to avoid. Unfortunately, with increasing printing costs and having absorbed Royal Mail's price increase for the past year, it was time to make adjustments. However, even with the slight price increase for back issues, I still believe the magazine offers excellent value for money and stands proud as a market leader for printed koi content.

To add, the Subscription Fee will NOT be affected, that rate is fixed which ensures those who subscribe save a little extra money and still get all of the other great subscriber benefits such as the brilliant Discount Card!

Thanks for checking out the blog and I look forward to sharing more news soon!

Bests,

Liam
